WoW Update: Mythic Prog!
Or how to nearly get Cutting Edge inside of two months!
So we're just over 4 weeks into the new raid tier!
We completed heroic at the start of week 2 which is pretty standard for us, as we usually polish off Ahead of the Curve at the start of week 2.
Straight after we started into Mythic Manaforge, and we've been doing pretty well in there so far.
In the 2½ resets we've been in Mythic, we've managed to get to 5/8 Mythic!
Some really nice progress, but a couple of really easy bosses in the middle of the raid where you'd normally imagine a bit of a wall.
The first four bosses were pretty quick to go down, clearing them all up by the start of week 2.
Boss 5, Fractillus (ironically) wasn't a wall at all, despite his use of walls in the fight. Largely a pushover this got us to 5/8 and onto Soul Hunters. They nearly went down the same night as Fractillus, but were left with 20% health by the end of raid night.
We will go back in on Monday night and that will get done for definite, putting us at 6/8 with just 2 bosses left!
Getting onto the final two bosses within a month of the raid releasing is pretty decent going, and even if it takes us another month to finish those two off, that's the raid cleared inside of 8 weeks all told!
All in all it's been a pretty impressive run so far, the team has played well and again I've been lucky enough to be a part of all of our progression kills so far this tier. In fact the only progression kill I've missed out on the past two tiers was Gallywix, so I've been on a pretty good run recently.
So here's looking forward to the next couple of bosses, and polishing off another expansion full of Cutting Edge kills!
