Cutting Edge #5: Gallywix!

So this is my first WoW post on the site, and my season is more or less complete...

The Gallagio in The Undermine

I've already achieved all of the goals I had for it when it began:

Ahead of the Curve
Cutting Edge
2k Score in mythic+ for the mount
3k Score in mythic+ for the other mount

And er, that's about it 😆

So I had been a participant in all of our progress kills this season, bar Gallywix, which I was rotated out for, so last week I finally managed to get the kill.

To say Gallywix is an underwhelming end boss for a tier is an understatement. The first half of the fight is pretty decent, with some tight movement timings required to not blow up the raid. But once you get past 50-55%? It's literally moving from point A to point B and not standing in crap.

Cutting Edge #5: Gallywix!

This is my 5th CE, after getting all 3 in Dragonflight and now the 2nd available in The War Within:

  • Raszageth
  • Sarkareth
  • Fyrakk
  • Queen Ansurek
  • Jastor Gallywix

The two fights leading up to Gally, One-Armed Bandit and Mug'zee? Both pretty tough bosses, albeit we got them down in around 130 pulls each.

The remaining bosses before that were a lot easier.

In fact, in terms of overall efficiency, measured in terms of pulls to kills, we were #45 in the world, which was nice 😎

As for m+, I ran it a lot more this season and pushed myself a lot more than in previous seasons - amazing what a FOMO mount can push you to do 😂

I got the 3k achievement and mount a week before Cutting Edge, so in the past 2 weeks I've largely wrapped my season up. And my Hunter is currently sitting at 683 iLevel, which is only 2 or so overall item levels below the absolute maximum.

So all in all it's been an easier season than most. Certainly easier than Season 3 of Dragonflight, and an end-boss a hell of a lot easier than any other in recent memory.
